WELCOME TO XU'S GROUP
Our main research interests are Scanning tunneling Microscopy (STM) and Density Functional Theory (DFT)-based investigation of on-surface molecular self-assembly processes, chemical reactions, atomic-scale manipulations, and nano-scale metal clusters under ultrahigh vacuum conditions towards understanding the fundamental adsorbate-adsorbate interactions and adsorbate-substrate interactions to build up desired nanostructures on surfaces, and to explore new functional nanomaterials for hydrogen storage, photo-switching devices, and energy-related technologies.
