Research Interests

Our main research interests are Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) and Density Functional Theory (DFT)-based investigation of on-surface molecular self-assembly (non-covalent interactions), on-surface chemistry (covalent interactions, coordination chemistry, organometallic chemistry), and atomic-scale manipulations (probing intermolecular hierarchical interactions) under ultrahigh vacuum conditions with the aim of controllably building functional surface nanostructures and gaining fundamental insights into physics and chemistry.
